On September 9 & 10, 2017- Web Extension Hackathon at SNS College of Technology, Coimbatore
Add-on development for Firefox and beyond workshop for two days. Participants are informed to know about the basic usage of JavaScript, HTML and other web scripting languages for the development of Add-on. Mr VishwaPrasath [Mozilla Rep] and Mr Makilan give an introduction about Mozilla and how to contribute in Mozilla. Mr Makilan said about the tracks in Mozilla and make the track lead to present about their tracks to their participants.
I said about Rust and it’s new updates to the participants, Nagaraj said about web compatibility and Quality Assurance and Monish said about Web VR. After a little break, Vishwa bro started the session regarding Add-on development.
He showed his add-ons and make the participants think creatively. Basics of the Add-on development had been thought of the participants. On that evening, Add-on group has been created and discuss new ideas and some posted their ideas in that group. I posted 7 ideas in the Etherpad.

On the second day, almost everyone works for their ideas to develop as an add-on and 3 add-ons had been developed at the end of the day. We gained some knowledge in web development and in developing the add-on for Firefox and beyond.
